Our top-down approach to researching new trading ideas has a strict adherence to the scientific method. Research at CCM begins with an observation of market behavior. A hypothesis is developed and then the testing begins. We do not mine data for patterns in the market, but rather go to great length to prove the persistence of observed market behavior. We believe that this top-down approach to strategy development is critical to creating robust trading strategies.
